We had a wonderful day. In the morning we worked in the yard and once again everyone helped in the garden. I also cleaned out the van and installed the infant car seat and moved Sammy’s seat into the back row, so now all three boys are together. At first Sammy wasn’t too sure but soon enjoyed playing with his brothers. After lunch we took a nap and just relaxed. For dinner time we were able to have a couple of zucchini from our garden, YUM! Then we played cards and at 7:30 ate ice cream. The children never eat sweets that late and now we remember why, they were so hyper! After our late treat we had our devotion time and then got ready for a few fireworks. We just bought the smallest pack and some sparklers. I am thankful that we did not have a lot to set off because the people across the street were setting off the ones that shoot up in the sky and also putting firecrackers in cans and being generally obnoxious. There was a girl who was standing in the middle of their yard constantly screaming cuss words. Rod had to ask them to watch their language a few times and she never really stopped. However, the children really enjoyed their day. Most 4th of July’s we go swimming at my uncle and aunt’s house and I felt a little bad that we were not able to do that this year, but the kids kept saying that this was the best 4th of July ever, they are so sweet!
As for a pregnancy update, I am due in 15 days. I have never had a baby this early but I can’t help but wonder if every twinge is “it”. I may be getting induced in a little over a week, if I hold out that long. I have a doctor’s appointment on Thursday and hopefully we will know more then. I can’t wait to hold my little baby girl!
I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday!
