For the next few days the temperature in our area is supposed to be well over 100 degrees. As if that is not bad enough we are under a thick haze of smoke from all the fires in Northern California. When we were looking for a house to rent here we found one that we thought would be perfect for us. It was two blocks from this lovely park, which we now drive out of our way just to go to. However, the house did not have central heat or air, just a window air conditioner. The Lord knew that we would be uncomfortable and saw fit to rent it out before our application could be approved. So, in the coming days when I would have been miserable in the heat I will be thankful to be in my comfortable house with the thermostat set at 78! Isn’t God good?
