Here is what we are up to on this important night:
We are watching Fox News and eating popcorn. We are having a homeschooling night with discussions on what a Senator is, how the electoral college works, about percentages, and many other fascinating topics. Learning in real life, the best!

Occasionally the children come to me with a question that builds my confidence as a homeschool mom. Last night, Timmy got out of bed with a perplexing question that he simply had to know the answer. He needed to know if worms were baby snakes. Aye, frijoles! Oh well, at least he is thinking, right?

Today is a late day for Rod. This morning all the children did their math work on the living room floor with help from Daddy.
Sammy’s x-ray has been scheduled for November 6th, but I need to check with Rod to make sure that he will not be in Vegas for his manager’s meeting. Here is [...]

Today I woke up slightly very grumpy. I wish that I could say that I am always sweet, loving, kind, and patient with my children, but I’d be lying. This morning I was very short tempered and snapping at the kids. As Dylan was doing his school work he had to write sentences about his [...]
Our week

Last week Rod had to go to Dallas for a business meeting. He flew home on Friday and after we picked him up we went straight to the movie theater to buy tickets for Prince Caspian. Rod and the three older children loved the movie. They said that it was a little different than the [...]

As you may have heard a California judge has ruled that a home school family does not have the right to educate their children in the way they deem most appropriate. This judge has taken away not only the right of home school families but has set a precedent that could be harmful to all families. The Home School [...]

We have had a busy week with trying to get back into a routine with school. Sammy and I have doctor appointments and Rod has three days off. So getting back on schedule after our Christmas break is challenging.
Yesterday the kids helped Sammy put on his cowboy hat.
That’s better.
It’s fun having a little brother to [...]
