Our DSL box is bad so I will be offline until after our move.  Rod leaves on Sunday for Salt Lake City.  We are hoping that he will be back here on December 14th and that the movers will be here on the 15th.  I’ll update once our move is complete.  Until then I wish you all a blessed Thanksgiving and if I can’t get online before a very happy Christmas.

Okay, here is the latest.  The move is now officially going to happen.  Rod will be flying there on the 30th.  He starts working at the new store on the very next day and will hopefully be able to take some time to find us a house to rent.  The kids and I will stay here until he finds something and the moving company is able to schedule us in.  It will probably be two or three weeks after the first before all that happens.  I’m hoping that we will be able to get a little settled before Christmas if not then I really hope we can at least be together. 

My sister is coming tomorrow for a visit and my parents will be here on Saturday.  We are going to have a Thanksgiving meal on Saturday night and then my sister will leave Sunday and my folks will head home Tuesday.  This will be the last we see of my mom and dad until March and I’m not sure when we’ll see Lee again.  So, I’ll be offline until Wednesday.

I’m sorry this posts sounds so whiney.  I’m going to miss my family and miss Rod.  This is going to be a hard few weeks for us.  Our family loves being together.  I know that this is only for a short time and then we will be settled in our new home.  Thanks for listening to my grumbling.

I have numerous, cute pictures to upload but our internet will not let me.  Hopefully, Rod will have time to look at it soon.  This will probably be the only post I get to until Tuesday.  We are going to be shopping for winter clothes for all of us.  We weren’t really needing much due to living in California but since we will be moving to somewhere with snow, we are sorely lacking in the area of warm clothes.  Also, we will be shopping for some jeans as a birthday present for me since Rod will be working on Friday.

As for the move, it looks like it’s a go.  Rod’s district manager talked to the regional manager and he said that it was official yesterday and that we are to be there on the 1st of December.  But, Rod has not heard from his regional manager yet.  He is probably still working out all the details.  So, for now we are proceeding with getting everything ready for the move.

What I feel:

     Love beyond imagine for this sweet family.

     Joy that is unspeakable.

     Incredible thankfulness for a Father who loves me so much!

Sorry about the lack of posts lately.  Our internet has been sssoooo ssssllllooowww lately that I could not even get the page to load to type.  Rod looked at this morning and got it to go a little quicker.

Sammy’s appointment was supposed to be this morning but the van would not start.  Having only one car means that we weren’t going anywhere.  Thankfully we just needed a new battery and thankfully we are very close to Walmart and thankfully my husband has a basic mechanical knowledge.  So, he spent the morning working on that and riding on his bike to Walmart for a battery.  I’m not sure when we’ll reschedule because it takes a couple of weeks to get in and I don’t know if we’ll even be here.  The doctor did say that we did not even have to do the test and we can just wait to see what happens.  So, hopefully we’ll make a decision soon.

As for the move that is up in the air too.  We ran into a possible snag with our property management company.  They are unwilling to really work with us on getting out of our lease.  They said that we are responsible for the rent until it is rented out, which we expected.  But they also charge us a crazy re-rental fee.  We have forwarded the info to HFT and now we are just waiting to hear what they want to do.  If it’s still a go then they want us there by December 1st.  We are either moving in 18 days or not!  Nothing like having your future in limbo.  Well, like I’ve said before, always an adventure in the Bohannon household.

Yeah!  Rod is home from his manager’s meeting in Las Vegas!  He had a nice time but is happy to be back.  We had to pick him up at the airport late last night.  His flight was supposed to arrive at 9:30, but was delayed by more than 1/2 hour. 

The kids and I were very tired since they normally go to bed at 8:00 but once we got in the car they had a burst of energy.  We discussed the moon and it’s phases and gravity and the solar system.  Lately, I think they are learning more from our talks than their books.  We have to drive way out in the country to get to the airport from our house and it was actually very pleasant. 

I checked his flight info several times before we left but still arrived too early.  We only have one cell phone now and Rod had it so I wasn’t sure when he’d be waiting for me.  We drove through the passenger loading area very slowly scanning the huge crowd for Rod and could not see him so we doubled back around.  I could not find an area to turn around, we had to completely exit the airport and do a u-turn on the surface street.  Timmy became concerned that I was leaving daddy there and that he was going to have to walk home.  On our second pass we saw him and fought the traffic to get close enough for him to jump in.

I missed him very much.  Last night I slept so well since I did not have to worry what every sound was because my husband was there to protect us.  Those three days went incredibly slow.  How is it that when he has three days off they fly by but when he is gone they drag?  When we arrived home at 11:00 PM we got in a circle to pray and thank God for protecting us all and as I looked at my family I felt complete.  God is so good!
